Best Auto Insurance

Who do I think is the best auto insurance?  Geico didn’t save me money in 15 minutes.  They let me go after one month of having my car insured with them.  It was due to my “bad record”.  I had two speeding tickets.  Please stop wasting trees sending me offers Geico!  I’ll never ever ever ever come go back to Geico.

I then got car insurance with Esurance.  They seemed okay at the time.  I started paying $300 a month for full coverage on a 1998 Subaru Impreza RS.  It was 2004 when I started my policy with them.  Finally, five years later, my monthly payment went down to $200. Wow!  It didn’t even drop after I turned 25.  It still was the same after I purchase a 2009 KIA Optima.  I never paid much attention to my auto insurance till I was 25.

I decided to look around and found USAA Insurance.  They have the best customer service and actually call you back if they said they would.  My insurance dropped from $200 to $90 and that was on a 2009 KIA Optima.  If you are looking for a great insurance company, I highly recommend USAA.  USAA provides its service for active military members, spouses and former members.

Power Of Attorney

December 4th, 2009

Power Of Attorney

When you use a power of attorney form you are allowing someone else to act on your behalf in legal or business matters.  The person you have appointed is referred to as an agent or an attorney-in-fact.  You can specify what a power of attorney can or cannot do.  Three of the most common are a special power of attorney, general power of attorney, and a durable power of attorney.

General VS Special VS Durable

When you allow a general power of attorney, you are allowing the agent to act on all of your affairs when you are unable to do so.  When you allow a special power of attorney, you are allowing the agent to act on specific affairs and situations.   A durable power of attorney is similar to a general power of attorney that contains special durability provisions.

When you no longer need an agent or if you are uncomfortable with your agent, you have the right to revoke the power of attorney at any time.  You must type a statement and send it to the agent and all institutions that had notice your power of attorney.  You then may choose another agent or just simply discontinue using a power of attorney.

Currency Trading

Foreign Currency Trading

The foreign exchange market or commonly known as FOREX lets you speculate the currency market.  No physical exchange of currencies ever takes place.  The reason the FOREX market exists is to facilitate exchange of different currencies.  It is the largest financial market in the world.  Currency trading is not controlled by any governing body.  It is open for trading 24 hours a day except on the weekends.  Unlike the stock market, FOREX firms are known as dealers instead of brokers.  The dealers don’t make money in commission.  They make money through the bid-ask spread.  It is the difference between the highest price a buyer is paying for an asset and the lowest price the seller is willing to sell it.

Financial Spread Betting

Financial Spread Betting

Spread Betting companies allow traders to speculate the direction which a stock will move.  A trader can make money on a stock that goes up or a stock that goes down.  Spread Betting is similar to buying a share.  With buying a share you buy believing the price of the share will move up so you can make money.  In spread betting you bet on whether the price of the share will move up or down also making you money without actually buying the share.  When it comes down to it, both are very similar.
